To finish off my notes on a recent summer collection order I also want to show you the two jackets that I’ve made.
I had a client come in earlier this spring and order a summer collection that I couldn’t wait to get to work on. With spring now well and truly in the air I thought you may like to look at some of the finished items to perhaps inspire adding to your own summer wardrobe...
This is a single-breasted three-button coat that’s part of a suit. The cloth is a 9oz wool and cashmere mix and has a really soft handle. It actually feels heavier due to the fact it's a closer weave. There's just that extra density to it.
This suit jacket allies a modern cut with a very classic traditional cloth so you’ve got an interesting mix here.
This double-breasted black blazer is in a silk and wool mix. It is a basket weave.
This is homage to the tailoring house of Tommy Nutter who became renowned in Savile Row from the 1960s.
